Temporary/Reciprocal Moorage Request Page

This page is used for WKYC Full Members who are on the waiting list for moorage assignment to request temporary moorage and/or for members of other yacht clubs on the Okanagan Lake who have assigned moorage at their respective club to request reciprocal moorage. Temporary Moorage for WKYC Members is limited to 7 consecutive days. Reciprocal Moorage for members from other clubs is limited to 4 consecutive days.

Temporary and/or Reciprocal Moorage is subject to availability only and the West Kelowna Yacht Club reserves the right to assign either types of moorage as they see fit.

Temp/Reciprocal Moorage Requests will not be reviewed until March 1st of the current boating season.

Temp/Reciprocal Moorage Requests will only be accepted and reviewed using this form. Do not call or email the office or reach out to the Harbour Master or Temp Moorage Coordinator to submit a request. You will be directed to use this page.

Rates for Temporary Moorage for 2024 is set to $25/day during peak season and $10/day during off season. Peak season is from the Thursday before the long weekend in May to Tuesday after Labour Day.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Unfortunately, due the moorage configuration at the WKYC, the club cannot accommodate any kind of Pontoon, Deck or Platform boat for Temp/Reciprocal Moorage at this time. If you have this type of vessel, do not make a request.

Temporary Moorage Request Procedure

Temporary moorage may be available for full members of the West Kelowna Yacht Club who are in good standing and are on the waiting list for moorage assignment. Temporary Moorage requests need to be submitted at least 5 days prior the requested moorage date. Temporary Moorage is limited to 7 consecutive days.

  • Download and review the Temporary Moorage Policy available here (2024 T&R Moorage Policy)
  • Download and review the WKYC Basin Rules available here (WKYC 2024 Basin Rules).
  • Fill out the form below with name, contact information and boat information
  • Upload your boat insurance information (Insurance must be in the name of the person making the request).
  • Upload the signed copy of the Temp Moorage Policy
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click the “Submit”
  • The Temp Moorage Coordinator will reach out to you from this point
  • If you are granted Temporary Moorage, the WKYC office will contact you to arrange for payment. The Temp Moorage Fee needs to be paid in full before you can moor your vessel in the temp moorage slip assigned to you.

Reciprocal Moorage Request Procedure

Reciprocal moorage may be available for full members who currently have moorage at another Yacht Club on Okanagan Lake and are in good standing at their respective yacht club. Reciprocal Moorage requests need to be submitted at least 3 days prior the requested moorage date. Reciprocal Moorage is limited to 4 consecutive days.

  • Download and review the WKYC Basin Rules available here (WKYC 2024 Basin Rules).
  • Fill out the form below with name, contact information, Yacht Club information and boat information
  • Upload your boat insurance information (Insurance must be in the name of the person making the request).
  • Upload the signed copy of the Temp Moorage Policy
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click the “Submit”
  • The Temp Moorage Coordinator will reach out to you from this point
  • If you are granted Reciprocal Moorage, before you can moor your vessel in the temp moorage slip assigned to you, the WKYC office will contact you to provide a Letter of Good Standing from your Yacht Club
  • A FOB will be supplied to access the club facilities
    A $50 deposit via credit card is required and will be taken by the WKYC office administrator to ensure the return of the FOB

    I hereby waive all rights and/or subrogation rights to claim, sue or take legal action against the West Kelowna Yacht Club and hereby release the West Kelowna Yacht Club from all liability, and specifically but without limitation, from any claim for loss or damage by fire and any other hazards or caused by any act or neglect on the part of the West Kelowna Yacht Club or its employees, officers or members.

    Terms and Conditions*
    Refueling inside the marina is ABSOLUTELY forbidden. Anyone granted Temporary or Reciprocal Moorage rights caught refueling in the basin will loose moorage privileges without any reimbursement and will be asked to remove their vessel from the basin immediately.
